About cjbristol
Hello, thanks for stopping by
My name is Chris or CJ (Christopher James). I am from Bristol and thats where I am every weekend visiting friends and family. During the week I live on the Wilts/Hants border due to work. Talking of that nasty "W" word I work as an air traffic control officer at the army's school of aviation on a camp called (no laughing) Middle Wallop. I'm not in the army however as I'm a civilian contractor and I'm lucky enough to enjoy a lot of time off, yippee.
I am an outgoing and adventurous chap who loves life and loves to laugh. I've been told I have a very good sense of humour and I always try to have fun. I am kind, loyal and I'm an old fashioned romantic at heart.
I love to travel and have been lucky enough to have been to some wonderful locations. I have a creative side and have a passion for photography. I managed to combine the two by working as a photographer on a cruise ship for a year. I like going for walks either in the country or along the beach. I also like going on fun day trips and enjoy discovering new places to visit. I like to watch films either at the cinema or on dvd with a cheeky glass or two of wine. I have a varied taste in music and listen to everything from classical to trance, but must confess to having a soft spot for rock/indie. Over the past 3 or 4 years I have taken up skiing. I really love as it's great fun in stunning scenery, but still seem to spend far to much time on my bum, d'oh! My biggest adventure (so far!) has been being chosen by my company to sail on one leg of a round-the-world yacht race called the BT Global Challenge, in which they were sponsoring a yacht. I had no sailing experience so had to go on 3 intensive weekends to learn the ropes (no pun intended, yeah right lol). Next it was off to Boston, USA to join up with the rest of the crew. We raced non-stop against 11 identical yachts over 7,500 miles to Buneos Aires, Argentina which took 35 days. It is by far the best experience of my life, not to mention the most exhausting and terrifying as we sailed very close to hurricane Michael. I'll never forget that name as for 36 hours it almost made me have a sense of humour failure.
I hope to hear from you soon as I'm sure we will have lots of fun and a real good laugh together as well as lots to talk about over a meal, a drink or something more fun.
